As I look around me, the desert seems to be bursting forth in song to the Lord, God its creator. Prickly pear cactus shout in brilliant yellow, while giant saguaros trumpet forth in white bursts that carefully quiet within at night.
Strawberry hedgehogs and scraggly chollas display splashes of God's pallete in hues of magenta and pink. Turn the corner and open-throated pink penstemon sway in rhythm to heaven's breeze.

Mustard-colored palo verde trees form borders along the desert streets. While disdained for their allergy producing pollen, these trees form a canopy of color across the celestial blue sky.

Each day I drive past this desert choir, sometimes tuned out to their vocal praises of the Creator. This morning, however, my heart fell in sync with their glorious tune as I reflected on our speaker's sermon in church. His voice, the commanding diction of teacher and principal, stirred in my heart and memory as he spoke on "The Laws of Nature and Of Nature's God." This man, so well known to me as the former principal of the Christian high school from which our youngest graduated, held our attention as students in a morning chapel service.
He wove Scripture which declares that God has planted in our hearts a knowing of who He is through nature with the writing of our country's Declaration of Independence.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,..."
Evidence that our Creator was in the hearts of those who jointly wrote the Declaration of Independence just as He is in every person's heart, revealing Himself through His creation.
It was a historically spiritual journey that left me hungering for deeper knowledge of the Christian basis on which our country was founded. At the same time, it brought to life within me the knowledge of my Creator displayed in every desert plant that lined my way home.
So here I leave a signature in photos of proof that God can be found through our hearts acknowledgement of Him in His marvelous creation.
